i'm finally here - i can't believe it!!!

On Sunday, with the help of Mom, Diane, Roy, Eric, Levi, Julie, John, JT, and Nicole, we FILLED a 17' truck (and to think - we had only reserved a 14') in just about 4 hours. Again, we want to extend a humongous THANK YOU to all my family that was there to help - we couldn't have done it without you :)

Corey and Smudge usually hide under the bed while the KITTEN MONSTER (read: vaccuum cleaner) is out of its cage. Since the bed was already on the truck, they picked the next safest place they could find...

With help from Eric and Levi, we got everything unloaded in just a few hours. That was Monday, this is Wednesday. Things are getting unpacked and organized, albeit not as quickly as I would like (I prefer the blink-your-eyes-and-wish-on-a-star-and-it's-all-unpacked method).





I've said it before and I'll say it again - moving sucks, Batman!! But in spite of the hassle, I'm so so so happy to finally be here :)

well, i'm now up to 10 boxes of books and one fairly empty bookcase. but dammit all, i ran out of packing tape.... ARGH

some of you have asked "how's the packing going?" and, i have to be honest, it's not going too good. every time i set out to tackle a certain corner or shelf or whatever, i always find that these are things i'm probably going to need so i can't possibly pack them! today, however, i began to conquer the library. so far, i've packed 4 boxes - only about 15 or so to go!!! ARGH
